E-Shopping Horror Story!!

 A few weeks ago, Dad (Stan Dreckman) & I were out with Mom, enjoying a sunny day with other dogs & people, at an outdoor mall that quietly encourages bringing Dad’s best buddy along (that’d be me). Mom went into one of her “fav” stores, so Dad & I took advantage of the down time & the sun – Dad with his coffee and me with my cup of ice water, doing one of our “fav” things:  people and dog watching.

 Dad & I just couldn’t help but wonder at a remark that a young shopper made to her friends as she walked by us & into a store to return an item she had purchased online. Our protective senses went into spasms when she told her friends, I buy everything online; and if it’s not right, I just take it back.

 Of course, I immediately thought of buying insurance or other financial products online without consulting a coverage pro, like Dad. I asked him who she could speak to online about the right kind of coverage, because it’s too late to take it back after an accident! Dad just sipped his coffee, and sadly answered: She can’t take it back after an accident. She can’t treat her injuries, fix the mess she caused, or protect her financial assets from being taken away. There are no do-overs.
